Agra is a hub of various markets with a lot to offer to the visitors ranging from embroidery, textiles, carpets to sweets like Petha and dalmoth. It is a buzz of departmental stores, retail outlets at Sikandra, and local bazaars such as shah market, kinara bazaar, Sadar bazaar, etc. Many complexes such as TDI, Cosmos mall, Omaxe mall are all over the city and offer various products. Some of my favourite shopping items are listed below.

 

1. Taj Mahals Souvenir

Agra is known as the Taj city, and the Taj Mahal made Souvenirs of marble, glass, and other crafts. These products add to the memory of visiting this place and are best to gift someone as they look lovely and beautiful. These souvenirs are readily available in the markets near the Taj Mahal.

2. leather Products

Agra is most famous for its footwear industry. Leather products such as shoes, bags, slippers, belts, etc., are widely available in the markets such as Sadar Bazar, Hing ki Mandi, which is well known for its shoe collection, kinara bazaar. All these market offers wide range and choices in leather items.

3. Rugs & Textiles

The rugs and carpets Textiles in Agra depict Mughal History with carved paintings and designs on them. A shopaholic must-visit markets like ship ram crafts village, Munro Road, Fatehabad road to explore various Rugs and textiles depicting the rich culture and heritage of ancient times.

4. Food item

Agra is famous for petha; going back without purchasing Agra ka Petha and Dalmoth is not acceptable. Panchi Petha is the most authentic petha maker in Agra. However, there are various shops with the same name, but one should purchase it from the original panchi petha near Sadar Bazar.

5. Jewellery

Agra’s market is also well known for semi-precious and diamond stone jewelry, including sapphire rings, necklaces, and bracelets. Raja ki Mandi, Kalakarati market, and Fatehabad Road are a few of the business’s best places.

6. Marble items

Marble products such as vases, status, cutlery, boxes, and tabletops are famous in Agra due to the beautiful architecture and prints. Visit markets like Kalakrati and marble cottage on Fatehabad road to see some beautiful work.
